Energy Routes
I am attempting to make the most of my time: delegating, balancing, and shifting, rather than holding.
Film: Energy Routes
I love the feeling of a swim so long and hard that the rest of the day is a drowsy daze from putting my body to good use. I love a sunburnt shoulder overlooking an alpine lake, smiling at the triumph of mountains climbed. I love when my muscles are sore; it feels like I’ve put them to good use, like they’re exercising their right to be muscles.
And
I don’t have the energy to sacrifice for these indulgent pleasures right now. More Responsibilities doesn’t come with a bigger vessel of energy to pour into old habits and new ones. Energy needs to be delegated to the many roles we play in life, always fluid, always shifting, always being affected by the events and people around us.
My body is a house for my muscles, and also for my dreams.
What is the work? Moving moments, when we feel we have no moments to spare.
The focus is trying to find the creases in my days, creases made to wiggle and remind my body that she is pliable and she can do hard things… that one vessel doesn’t need to take everything I have, and shouldn’t.
There is not enough time for all the Things we are designed to do and have time for ourselves. The illusion of having enough time is yet another shadow of the systems we embody. All I can control is the intention and choosing where the energy goes.
